SGM IntElect2 from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag

The second generation of the of the all-electric injection molding machines IntElect convinces with its greatly improved energy efficiency, high-precision drive technology, compact dimensions and optimum tool protection. MAPAG Maschinen AG is your Swiss contact for the machine.

Exactly one year ago, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag presented the second and thus newest generation of the all-electric injection molding machines IntElect, mainly with compact dimensions, optimum tool protection, high-precision drive technology, greatly improved energy efficiency as well as ergonomics and an optimal price-performance ratio.

The series comprises five variants with clamping forces between 500 and 1,800 kN at the launch.

According to product manager Peter Gladigau, the development time of several years for the highly dynamic drive motors was particularly worthwhile. He draws a consistently positive balance: "40 % of our machines sold in the past 12 months came from the all-electric IntElect series, which is well above the Euromap average for all-electric machines of around 20 %"

After a successful market launch of the new IntElect, this year the next extension will follow:

In order to meet the requirements of high-speed applications, the IntElect S (Speed), which is designed for thin-walled parts with injection speeds between 350 and 500 mm/s and cycle times between 3 and 10 seconds, will be introduced this year. Compared to the standard machine IntElect, the cycle times can be reduced by up to one second with the high-performance machine.
