Laser micromachining discussed at Primaform

The structuring and functionalization of surfaces enable many exciting applications. Primaform will host the next "Polymers & Structures" practice group, which will promote exchange among participants and with industry experts.

The structuring and functionalization of surfaces - often in the nanometer range - as well as the use and modification of polymers are the topics of this practice group.

Which optical, chemical or biological modifications are possible and how can they be identified? And which technology trends and which companies from the region are essential?

Who is this event suitable for?

The focus of the upcoming event will be high-precision material processing with lasers. It is aimed at innovators and experts from the fields of metalworking, chemistry, plastics technology, coatings, micro- and nanotechnology, both from industry and applied university research.

Industry experienced experts

This event will be led by two highly competent and industry experienced experts: Prof. Dr. Per Magnus Kristiansen from the Institute for Nanotechnical Plastics Applications (INKA) at the FHNW in Brugg and Dr. Christian Bosshard from CSEM in Muttenz.

What is the "Polymers & Structures" Practice Circle?

This practice circle is organized 3-5 times a year alternately by BaselArea.swiss, under the name Technology Circle (TC), and Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG, under the name Praxiszirkel (PC), whereby Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG organizes this event. The aim is to stimulate exchange between the participants in a pre-competitive environment.
