About us

MAPAG Machines AG
Our aim is to provide you with comprehensive advice on your projects and to support you to solve complex tasks economically, so that you can
to be even more successful in a dynamic market environment. For
we support you in the project planning of complete production plants
together with our suppliers through comprehensive engineering.

Injection Molding Sumitomo (SHI) Demag - Leading from the very beginning

Sumitomo (SHI) Demag has played a major role in shaping injection moulding technology right from the start. In 1956 the predecessor companies Ankerwerk Gebr. Goller developed the first single-screw injection moulding machine in Nürnberg. Since then, we have gained a lot of experience in our plants and implemented it in new products and processes. The employees in Wiehe in Thüringen have also been building high-performance small machines for almost 40 years. Since its modernisation in 1993, the plant has developed into a leading specialist for small injection moulding machines up to 1,500 kN clamping force. In more than 40 years of successful tradition in injection moulding machine construction, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag machines have established a good reputation in the world's markets.

THERMOFORMING ILLIG - Tradition shapes the future

The thermoforming specialist from Heilbronn stands for groundbreaking inventions and innovations. From total 750 employees, around 100 employees develop forward-looking solutions in research, development and design. This results in decisive product advantages and higher benefits for the customer, taking into account a wide variety of basic conditions.

The tasks that the system provider successfully accomplishes are manifold: New raw materials and changing consumer needs have to be taken into account in development. To this end, ILLIG continuously monitors the market and seeks innovative solutions together with partner companies and research institutes. Higher cycle rates and optimized forming processes are only possible through innovative materials, production techniques, drive systems, electronic components, measuring processes and integrated process control. At the same time, new components must undergo extensive quality assurance to improve operator and maintenance friendliness, set-up times, service life and plant availability.

Simulations, laboratory and endurance tests in prototype construction serve the early optimization of all components at ILLIG. With its laboratory machines for application technology, the thermoforming specialist is able not only to produce samples but also to comprehensively test and optimize new developments from material or semi-finished product manufacturers. Last but not least, the integration capability of the new developments is tested together with and directly at the customer. The results are solutions for the long-term and economical use of ILLIG systems and tools.
