ILLIG new packaging laboratory bundles Pactivity® activities

Summer 2018: ILLIG opens the new modern equipped packaging laboratory in direct proximity to the extended customer centre in Heilbronn. This bundles the company's Pactivity® activities around packaging development and thus offers even more options for product development together with customers. A 3D printer enables the first and quick realization of product ideas. The laboratory is also used to analyze the material properties of thermoformed plastics using an optical scanner, microscope, polariscope, microtome and a tensile testing machine. Other equipment includes a heating cabinet for shrinkage determination and devices for checking the tightness and top load of the moulded parts. With years of experience and technical know-how, the ILLIG experts offer customers tailor-made 360° advice and support for a high-quality and market-oriented packaging solution through to the implementation of the appropriate tool and production system.
